Other News and Information

Our season will begin on March 23, 2018. During each month of the season, except for July, the league will play 2 blocks of games per month. Each team will play 1 road series and 1 home series within each block. Please note that this years schedule will frequently include a DH game in each series as well as a day off during each series.

Block 1 stats are due no later than midnight on the 14th of the month

Block 2 stats are due no later than midnight on the 29th of the month

In order to keep the league moving forward at a crisp pace, each manager must do his part to send manager profiles to his opponent and stats to the league statistician. Manager Profiles are to be sent to the league at this address: 28gml@googlegroups.com.

For series involving St Paul Skylanders and Helheim Fallen Warriors - please also send the MP directly to the personal email of the owner

St. Paul - michael.fischer@comcast.net

Hellheim - tosodj.dt@gmail.com and tosodj@midco.net

League stats are to be send to Ed at this address:28gml@googlegroups.com

Missing MPs: Regarding the call for missing manager profiles, please refer to the League Constitution Rule VIII. Section F which reads: "F. If no instructions are received and if a manager has not submitted a default MP, the home manager is expected to start play using a representative lineup, the five starting pitchers with the most starts, and those relievers that are needed. Notify the Commissioner whenever a series has been played by contingency rules. Ignore late instructions if you have begun play." I would consider a manager profile to be late or missing if it has not been received within 5 days from the date the latest database has been send out. Govern yourselves accordingly.

Additionally, all managers are encouraged to review the league constitution for rules relating to series play and player limits. Many of you are in multiple leagues with varying sets of rules, so some confusion is understandable. However, I am already receiving complaints about illegal manager profiles being used in the March set of games. For example, starting pitchers with no relief durability rating are not permitted to pitch in relief except in an emergency situation. Unless a starting pitcher has a relief rating, he should not be listed in your pitching depth chart.
